Sustainability of energetic products


By now the sustainability of biomass for energy is the fundamental criterion of EU policies to promote their use. Its evaluation is based on precise parameters as an LCA analysis (Life Cycle Analysis) taking into consideration the structure of production chains, mass flows and energy flows.


Using SimaPro software the Biomass Lab has performed LCA analyses on agro-energetic chains, with energetic-environmental balances and evaluating their impacts (GHG, acidification, eutrophication, etc.)
