Laboratory equipment and technical rules


 

The Biomass Lab holds all instruments necessary to characterize solid and liquid biomasses for energetic and industrial uses. Analyses are performed following the current National and European technical norms in the energy sector.

  Main reference standards

SOLID BIOMASS: references normative are the standards developed by the technical EU commission CEN/TC 335 – Biomass standards. The main normative is represented by the UNI EN ISO 17225 – Solid biofuels – Fuel characteristics and classification.


LIQUID BIOMASS: the main normative is the UNI/TS 11163:2009 – Liquid biofuels – Animal and vegetal oils and fats, their intermediate and derived – Classification and characterization for energetic uses.
